"Repair Needed", no WiFi, baseband screwed, monetary reward!
Hi,
I have some serious problems that I have spent many many hours trying to figure out, so any help would ve very much appreciated.
My story is as follows,
I had a 1.1.1 unlocked phone, which was originally 1.0.2 which had been virginized using the secpack from server method to update to 1.1.1.
I decided last night to install 1.1.2 (for some reason I had a bad feeling about this, really wish I'd gone with my instinct).
I oktoprep'd, upgraded and jailbroke etc, however at some point during the final stages of the AnySim flashing, it threw me back into an empty springboard with a constant spinning wheel, which would not go away even after reboots.
I then restored to 1.1.1, which gave me an error me the following the activation screen "Repair Needed: iPhone cannot make or receive calls." At this point the iPhone had no IMEI/ICCID. Damn.
Also, the WiFi option had been grayed out as "Not available" and the speakers would not work.
I panicked and did a restore to 1.0.2, as per a guide I found to revirginize (with no-WiFi) the baseband using ieraser and bbupdater.
ieraser gave me a :"Hopefully the main flash was erased, wait for the next step.." as it's last message, (error?)
and bbupdating the FLS and EEP files gave me: "Error: Failed to download .FLS : Could not verify downloaded image", after working away for a while.
In my panicking have I messed up along the way?
At this point I have been going at this for many hours and I am probably not thinking entirely clearly and could use some help.
I'd be grateful if anyone could help me work towards a solution and would be happy to donate some money via paypal as a thank you.

Better donate the money to the dev team. If you did erase the basband with ieraser, then do another restore with you current firmware version using itunes. When it detects that you don't have the baseband firmware it reflashes it.

Thanks,
ieraser did not throw out any errors and looks to have completed. bbupdater just wouldn't work.
I just did a restore of 1.0.2 as you described, which took some time with the result error being the "Cannot update iPhone" etc (as expected I suppose?) anyway, after loading up indepedence and knocking it out of restore mode, after a couple of minutes I have the dreaded "Repair Needed" message again.
Any ideas?

Repair needed most likely means there is no firmware loaded on the phone.
Try to restore to 1.1.2, it "should" reload the 1.1.2 firmware.

Thanks, I restored to 1.1.1.
However, still getting the "Repair Needed" message on the activation screen.
I'm guessing if I could figure out the "Error: Failed to download .FLS : Could not verify downloaded image" problem in 1.0.2 it would solve my problems.
However, it's odd as ieraser appeared to work, so restoring should've correct the firmware.
Anyone have any clue?

Put your iPhone in DFU mode and RESTORE 1.1.2!
U dont have baseband..after restoring it should be OK. At that point u must downgrade 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 , search forum.

I have just restored 1.1.1 twice and 1.0.2. Will restoring to 1.1.2 be any different? Thanks!

restoring won't work, you need to get the firmware version back. bbupdater.

bbupdater gives the following error after a couple of minutes:
Error: Failed to download .FLS : Could not verify downloaded image
