I had that problem too... now, since there's unlock for 1.1.3 oob phones too, you could simply restore to 1.1.3 (this should fix the repair needed problem), downgrade to 1.1.1, jailbreak, oktoprep, upgrade to 1.1.2, upgrade to 1.1.3 and unlock them (if you need to)

Are you sure ? Here is my problem:
I have 1.1.2 OTB and in the middle of unlocking at "Waiting erase to complete..." it stopped and Apple logo. Now when I go in iTunes to restore back to 1.1.1 i get 1011 error and keypad is slow and the phone crashes How to solve that ?? I have WinXP. When I turn it ON it shows CABLE and CD with a note, I gues that this is DFU mode.
PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!
Can I restore to 1.1.3 and then it will be ok ? Are you 100% sure ?
Thank you !

I could restore one. 1 Problem left, that i got no network. pin entry works, wifi works. but no gsm function - i do have iworld running...
the other one was bricked during hardware unlock, after i got an "can't write" answer at "ienew"...
upgrade to 1.1.3 doesn't work either - also error message...

Found a solution that works!
I don't care what people write about Zibri but his ZiPhone tool worked. Get it from iphone-elite.org and run it from command with "ziphone - u"
Great work!!!
