Relock iPhone Theory then safe upgrade to 1.1.1
We all know that between 1.0.0/1.0.1 to 1.0.2 there was a baseband update, therefore those who unlocked with 1.0.0/1.0.1 and then updated to 1.0.2 had thier iphones relocked.
My theory is if we force restore a unlocked iphone that has 1.0.2 to 1.0.0 then to 1.0.1 then to 1.0.2 will the iphone get relocked thus allowing a safe upgrade to 1.1.1 without the need to go through kmac's method and still have phone functionallity with the original AT&T sim cards??
And also, if you extract the 1.1.1 firmware there are three DMG files, is the baseband firmware and the new features in the same DMG??
If not then i will elaborate with my theory how to get the new features without upgrading the baseband!!!

during restore the baseband only updates if the update is a newer version. so even downgrading to 1.0.0 from 1.1.1 or 1.0.2 will still leave you with 1.1.1 modem firmware. The only change is in an update/restore to a newer version not an older version. so a relock will only happen when you update to 1.1.1
the 1.1.1 firmware is encoded with a key which is yet to be found, and i expect when it is everyone will update to 1.1.1 rather than try to add features to 1.0.2 as some features will be all over the image not just a simple app folder
