Re-running 1.1.2 OTB UK iPhone Jailbreak
Hi.
I successfully completed the procedure (1.1.2 OTB -> 1.1.1, jailbreak, activate, update 1.1.2, jailbreak 1.1.2, activate).
Guide: Tutorial: Jailbreak & Bypass Activation for UK iPhones
The problem is that I replaced the /System/Library/Frameworks/AppSupport.framework/AppSupport with a 1.1.1 patched file to handle local (norwegian) phone numbers. I did a backup of the iPhone first, but when the phone did not reboot (AppSupport not working with 1.1.2) I discovered that the backup I made did not include the (...)/Frameworks/(...) directory.
So to get the phone working again, I restarted the whole process. (Restored 1.1.2, downgrade 1.1.1 etc.)
And now for the question(s)...
1. Jailbreakme.com only works every <insert large number> times. It crashes Safari but stops there most of the time. Also tried jailbreak.toc2rta.com, but that one has never worked. Any idea why this happens?
2. When Jailbroken this time (v1.1.1) iTunes report that my iPhone only has about 250MB total space, and most of that is used...
3. Ignoring the missing 7.5GB, i install BSD, SSH and OktoPrep, telling me I'm ready for 1.1.2 update (again). So I update 1.1.2 and run Jailbreak 1.1.2 (step 4) again, only this time, i'm told that OktoPrep is not installed!!!???
4. During step 4-Jailbreak 1.1.2, something gets flashed, and i assume this is what's causing (some of) the strange behavior. Does anyone know what gets flashed, and more important, how do I un-flash it so my phone gets to a state where I can re-apply the procedure (without coc*ing up the AppSupport this time
)
5 And finally, I don't know if the AppSupport file gets replaced during a restore, but i think maybe not, so does anyone have the original 1.1.2 UK OTB file so I can replace it again?
Thanks a lot for any help
Cheers

Anyone? Please?
How about just question 5 then:
What get's flashed, and how do I unflash it?
Thanks

I think your failure is in IGNORING the 300mb problem.
My phone showed also 300mb and after updating and trying to jailbreak oktoprep was missing.
try to do a 1.1.1 restore again, jailbreak, activate and install oktoprep.
Then make sure itunes recognize the phone correctly as 7,25 GB.
After now UPDATING 1.1.2 Oktoprep should work fine.
to 1:
had the same problems with jailbreakme.com, after rebooting Iphone AND pc it worked w/o problems.

Excelent. Some new stuff to try. Nearly went insane yesterday...
Did a decompile of the Jailbreak.jar file and found that the application reports OktoPrepe missing if directory "/disk" is missing, which is probably related to the missing 7.5 GB. Perhaps it doesn't get written since disk is full.
Thanks anyway.

Re Q5:
Managed to pry the 1.1.1 ipsw file open, decrypt the dmg file, and found the AppSupport file there, so it will most likely get replaced on a restore.
