Default Ran AnySim1.1.1, but can only use AT&T sim

I've got a launch iPhone that has never been unlocked. It's been activated on AT&T service since launch. I tried to unlock it last night so I could use an international sim while I'm on vacation.

When I try to put in an T-Mobile sim, I don't get an error message, but I have no bars on the signal.

    Any tips?

    Thanks!

I restored and ran AppSnapp, then installed anysim.

When I try to unlock with AnySim, I get a message saying the phone could not be unlocked.

    that means it's unlocked already.
I read your first message, you unlocked it already. when you put in the tmob SIM, you did not get any error message but no bars on the signal.
If your phone is not unlock, it will give you an error message right away.

It is possible that you don't get good tmob signal in your area. Note: you don't want to hotswap SIM. Power down, swap SIM and power up. give it a little time to search for the network signal. I think you are OK

to get it working, you have to replace the lockdown. the phone is only activated through att service, so if you replace the lockdown file with the ultimate unlock guide way, your fone will work with any sim card

Try to download the "lockdownd" file here:
"http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZTYA7MA3" and put it in /usr/libexec/ this will solve the problem.

    if using iBrick:

In iBrickr, click Files, and on the iPhone screen to the right, navigate to

    /usr/libexec/

    upload the file named

    /lockdownd

Restart your iPhone when it's done.

I Download the lockdownd file and renamed the one in the phone to lockdownd.old and replace with the one I just download. Turn off my phone and put in T-mobile sim card, I got the signal. Thank you so much, stn2you!
