Quick Question Regarding 1.1.1 Unlock
Hey, I've heard there's numerous ways to unlock the 1.1.1 iPhone and I'd like to do it the 'best' way. I'll have a new/sealed 1.1.1 iPhone this week and would like to unlock it [myself] right away. I'm wondering if this method is good or I should use another.
1) Jailbreak <click for linked page
2) Unlock <click for linked page
I've done stuff like this before so I understand everything I've read on those pages for the exception of: "Make sure you have a SIM-card with PIN turned off" What does "PIN turned off" mean? Excuse my ignorance, I haven't had a cell phone/SIM-card before
Any help would be much appreciated. Seems like a great forum I'm gonna go look around now Thanks!
as long as its 1.1.1 OOB, both methods are the best
a PIN is a Personal Identification Number, basically a password
Make sure you have a SIM-card with PIN turned off" What does "PIN turned off" mean?
when a phone is turned on, and the PIN is enabled, the phone will ask for a PIN before it will work
a SIM card with a PIN must have the PIN turned off before it can be unlocked for iphone use
normally, the PIN will be disabled, but to be sure, put it into another phone and turn it on
if it asks for one, type it in then go into phone settings and disable it
then youre good to go
enjoy the iphone, its great at what is does (you would know, if you had previous phones, that it shortfalls in a few areas)
