[Question] Does restoring upgrade the Bootloader?
First of all, I've been reading the bootloader 3.9, 4.6, fakeblank argument from the minute it had started. I have a 1.1.2 OTB 8GB iPhone. And I did a H/W Unlock (Test point 55) to my phone. So my bootloader was 3.9.
While I was doing H/W unlock my phone was restored and jailbroken to 1.1.1. After I finished TestPoint, I checked my bootloader and it was, 3.9.
Then, when I run 1.1.2 Jailbreak.jar to oktopreped phone it failed. That moment I realized, instead of UPGRADING I accidentally RESTORED my phone to 1.1.2.
What I did was, I restored back to 1.1.1, jailbreaked, installed vt100, bsd, bootloader downgrade pack.
And when I checked my bootloader version I CLEARLY REMEMBER that it was back to 4.6... I remember it very well because I wroted it all down at that moment.
Did another, testpoint, downgraded bl to 3.9 then upgraded to 1.1.2.
Now I have restored to 1.1.4 and unlocked with ziphone 2.5c. but my bl should be already 3.9 right? But I remember seeing on my iphone that bl was downgrading.
As I read some other forums people are saying the same thing about restoring upgraded their bootloader...
Are we wrong

restoring does not touch the bootloader only the baseband if itunes could touch bootloaders then we all could have the latest one
