Default Prolly useless info but may be interesting to kno abt the 4.6 Unlock

So I tell my boy that the new 1.1.2 unlock came out

lol we just bought a next sim so now we have to return that!

so he came over right away and dropped off his phone 1.1.2OTB never activated

i was so excited i downgraded to 1.1.1 and then i went to get some food so i forgot to upgrade to 1.1.2 and JB

so i ran the unlock from the 1.1.1 JB and it said unlock successful.

then the T-Mobile sim didnt work!

    so i was lik wtf

looked at the phone and it said 1.1.1! I WAS LIKE OH SHIT!

i put it in dfu mode restore to 1.1.1 okto prep and updated to 1.1.2 and voila!

    It was UNLOCKED!!

So i guess this version of the GEO Unlock is restore resistant!

    and it works in 1.1.1!

i kno this is pretty useless info but hey, i found this info to be rather interesting!

no not at all its just that the 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 baseband dont work in 1.1.1. so you had a 1.1.2 baseband in 1.1.1 software. unlocked it, and until you upgraded the software couldnt work the baseband.. same with 1.1.3 baseband, only works in 1.1.3 not 1.1.2..

i just unlocked a 1.1.3 0tb, updated it to 1.1.2 (but the baseband stays at 1..1.3) unlocked, didnt work, softupgraded to 1.1.3, worked..

so yeah you are mistaken, its not update resistant, please dont update to 1.1.4 thinking youll be fine!

he means it didn't have to be done again after a restore.

he was on 1.1.1, did the unlock and restored right after to 1.1.1 again

    oktoprep'd back to 1.1.2

and was now unlocked on 1.1.2 and didn't have to run the unlock again
    originally OTB 1.1.2 iPhone 4.6BL
    hActivated/Jailbroken/gUnlocked
    Tzones hacked
    T-Mobile USA

    now blackra1n'd 3.1.2
