Ok i just purchased a 16GB Iphone with Firmware 1.1.4 on it, i am going to use Iplus2 for Jailbreaking, i am also using Itunes Version#7.6.1.9, on WinXP Pro SP2. I am also going to use AT&T

My question is this, should i Jailbreak the phone first, or activate the phone first, then jailbreak it? Also i would like to know this, Iplus2 says: No Payload - Jailbreak Only!
If i do not add the payload will the installer app still be installed, or will i have to manually do it after?

Activate via iTunes since your on AT&T and then run iplus 2.0b read the sticky

Me and you are in the same boat except I am 1.1.1otb all you need to do is jailbreak

Do you have a legit AT&T iphone account?

If not then you will have to Activate/Jailbreak/Unlock.

If you do then you have to jailbreak only after activating it through itunes.

If i do Jailbreak only will it install the installer app? Because when i look in the payload i see the Installer App. I guees i will do it with the payload and just run it as ./iplus2.0/iplus no -u

it will give you installer as well as a number of fixs for 1.1.4 as some apps need it beacuse of the new frame

Why don't you try iLiberty instead as you are only going to jailbreak.Have you looked into that?Have you read the sticky thread about it?

yes i have, Thank you for the mention. I think i am just going to wait now and see what the Dev Team does. As i mentioned i am going to use AT&T, 450 ROMS, 200 SMS, VVM, UnLimited Data, and 5000M on weekends is not a bad deal in my book. Plus i live on the East Coast, (USA).. They are loaded with 3G hookups were i live and travel.
