Default Problems with unlocked 1.1.2 on T-Mobile UK

    Hi everybody,

It seems that since a few days more and more people are having problems with unlocked iPhones (1.1.2, and as such unlocked using TurboSim or similar methods).

There is a thread about it on the Bladox forums, but in order to reach a higher number of users, hopefully helping all of us to identify the actual cause of the problem and getting us closer to a solution, I decided to also report it here.

The problem manifests itself by "noService", followed shortly after that by a NoSim message. A reboot of the phone, or remoe and re-insert of the Sim card solves the problem, but only for a short period of time. This could be a few second up to 30 minutes before the problem starts again.

So far, all of teh users reporting the problem are using the T-Mobile network in the UK. Since the problem did not start for everybody at the same day, it could be caused by a software change on the T-Mobile network.

It is also interesting to report, at least in my case, that other "weird" things start to happen shortly before the phone looses service:
    - unable to play YouTube videos
    - un-responsive/slow phone in general
    - no sound output through the speaker (key-tones etc...)

It could indicate that for unknown reasons the phone has trouble with the data/signal received from the T-Mobile network, causing the phone process to crash and cause other problems.

In my case, the problem started on Friday evening. Never had any problems before, and I am using the iPhone since over 4 months.

I also did a complete restore (back to 1.1.1 and upgraded to 1.1.2) again to make sure it isn't caused by any other third party tool.
