I activated my out the box 02 uk 1.1.2 iphone by

downgraded to 1.1.1
used ibrickr to get out of recovery mode
installed jailbreak 1.1.2
updated to 1.1.2
used jailbreak from my computer which enabled me to use any o2 sim!

but I have the following problems

1) have heard you can get visual voicemail even you are on pay as u go, how do you do this, also where is this located is this the voicmail button tab when you go into phone app?

2) How do you activate edge (im confussed with this, I get the icon with the E, but when I go into the web it says im not subscribed, why is the E icon showing up then?)

3) How can I setup my windows live account to work in the mail app?

4) If someone send me a picture, would I be able to recieve it has there is no MMS

5) why is my Gameboy advance not emulator not working, I have put. the roms in the correct place with the correct naming including where to put captial letters

6) Is there a way I can send and reciece to other mobiles foe example pictures?

im sure you can go on the internet on all pay and go phones. am i right, is internet still ok to use even with o2 pay n go sim card?

1) no, you cant get visual voicemail to work. you can type this into the keypad:*5005*86*xxx# (Make sure to replace xxx with your voicemail number. For O2 customers, its 901). Once you have done that, tap the Call button. The screen will say 'Please wait'. Now the next time you tap Voicemail on your iPhone, it'll dial up your Voicemail.

2) do this: install open SSH
open an SSH client (transmit on mac, WinSCP for windows)
navigate to / > System > Library > Frameworks > CoreTelephony.framework > Support
open the o2_UK.plist

find the area with the APN title
set APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk", username to "faster" and password to "web"
urn off phone and remove sim
turn on again, then off
put sim back in, then turn on
then reset phone settings

3) you cant. this is due to the fact windows live mail is hotmail which uses httpmail instead of pop or imap. not a problem with iphone. no solution to this

4) you cant see it. you need to wait for apple to include MMS. the hack app for mms lets you send, not receive
5) already answered
6)no. email only. bluetooth doesnt work

!!!ALL THESE COULD HAVE BEEN ANSWERED USING THE SEARCH FEATURE!!!

3) Yes you can if you upgrade to hotmail plus and forward your mail through gmail. Works for me.

i forgot about that, but you shouldnt have to pay for a basic feature like that!

yes but then you will use wap, so youtube etc will still work! (i think)

if you could provide details on how to get wap working on o2payg with the iphone please?
