    Default Problems downgrading

    Hi,

Me and a friend got one iPhone each (bought with 1.1.1), and used the guide we found here to downgrade, jailbreak and unlock. I had no problems, but my friend can't make it work. Heres what happend:

After holding the buttons 10 secs and the "home"-button another 15, he did not hold shift while he pressed restore, so iTunes restored his phone. He then started over, and did it the right way this time. Holding shift and pressing restore and downgrading with the correct file (worked with my phone).

Everything seemed fine, until we got to where you write "ieraser". At this point it just stopped, and I am guessing the secpack does not match his firmware due to him letting iTunes upgrade his phone.

His iPhone is jailbreaked, and he can use everything except the phone part of it. The firmware says it is 1.1.1.

Can anyone tell us what to do now? We tried 2 times (following the guide and using the same files we did with mine) but it stops at the same place everytime. Is it possible to hack and unlock it now, or did we fuck the entire phone?

Well, you need to downgrade the firmware first - then you can start downgrading the baseband. If you *think* you downgraded the firmware but the phone still says it's 1.1.1 you simply haven't downgraded.

The thing is, we did it just like we did with the other iPhone. Is it possible that it won't be downgraded when we press shift+restore and choose the same file that worked with the other iPhone?
