problem with unlock in itunes
Hi all.
Trying to uplock a 1.02 with problems! I installed AppTap but it went into error and froze completely and would not do anything!
The iphone is now stuck in recovery mode and will not do anything its just saying to connect to itunes.
I have tried holding SHIFT and selecting the 1.0.2 firmware and restoring it but it just keeps saying unknown error occurred i have unlocked 3 iphone's this morning with no truble what do you think i should do?
Thanks

Were you in jail when you were trying to install Apptap? Be aware that when installing Apptap, you need to be in jail.
Try restoring according to this method posted here:

1) With the phone disconnected from the computer, I ran iTunes (7.4.2)
2) With a stopwatch, I carefully held Home+Power for exactly 10 seconds which made the screen black
3) I immediately released the Power button and continued holding the home button for exactly another 10 seconds (timed by the stopwatch)
4) I immediately released the Home button and the screen was still black
5) I then plugged in the iPhone with its USB cable
6) To my amazement iTunes immediately detected the iPhone in restore mode so I could Option+click the Restore button and choose the 1.0.2 firmware ipsw file I has downloaded earlier
I have tried the above it is just not working!
With the iphone unconnected i have held the power button + home button for 10seconds release the powe and just held home i am exspecting the screen to go blank but it is not the "connect to itunes comes back up"
Also the iphone if untoched just keeps what looks to be restaring itself going from the apple logo then appearing at the "connect to itunes"

Have you tried jailbreaking when it is in restore mode?
If you look for endless reboot on the forum, there might be some answers for your problem.
