Default [Problem] [Solved] No signal issue after unlock/jailbreak

    HELP!!!!

I have a uk 1st gen iphone 8gb and wanted to use my Orange sim card so I used Ziphone 3.0 and clicked the 1 click ''all'' button which unlocked the phone and jailbroke it, the only problem is, I now have no network carrier, not even the option to select it in settings, I have no edge either!! I have restored back to 1.1.4 and 1.1.3 in itunes and re jailbroke using WINPWN, then Ziphone and now even tried Liberty+ but still the same outcome, its driving me mad!!! any fixes for this? even on Cydia or anything???

    Please help!!!

Stay away from ZiPhone. If at some point you installed 2.x.x FW, you need downgrade the baseband too.

Also, try to provide more info; Current FW, baseband, iTunes version, if you installed any 2.x.x FW, and so on.

    Hi,

Cheers for the reply!! I am currently on firmware 1.1.4 (4a102) I am on itunes 8.0 on my mac but run back to my desktop pc when I want to restore via itunes to 1.1.4 as I am running itunes 7.5 on that machine. I notice when I run Liberty+ I notice smoe of the text says unknown baseband, abort in 10 secs-the phone then restarts. The rest of the phone is working fine, just getting a no service icon in the top left.

Thanks for helping me, its been driving me mad for 2 days now!!!

So, did you install any 2.x.x FW at some point? (2.0.1; 2.02; 2.1)

And your baseband at this time?. I think you need downgrade it, if you want to stay at 1.1.4:
How to Downgrade Your Baseband Using KiPhone

If you want 2.1, well thats a different story. Let me know and good luck

TOPMAN!!! thanks for that link, I upgraded to 2.1 in itunes before bringing it back to 1.1.4 so my baseband was still upgraded, I used your link to downgrade to a lesser firmware. Thanks very much!!!!!

I have no signal as well.

    - 1.1.4
    - Baseband: 04.04.05_G
    - Bootloader: 3.9_M3S2

    I used ZiPhone to unlock/jailbreak/activate.

I can see my phone number under settings -> phone, but I do not get any signal. Going into settings -> carrier just produces a message that says "Error".

I then went to 2.1 and used QuickPwn, still no signal.

Then I followed these instructions exactly: http://iphone-tmobile-nosignal.blogspot.com/ to go back to 1.1.4 and downgrade the baseband.

Throughout all of this my baseband has stayed at 04.04.05_G ...

Phone works fine with AT&T SIM in, just no signal with T-Mobile SIM in, but as far as I can tell it is "unlocked".

Even after running iErase and restoring to an older firmware such as 1.1.3 I end up with baseband 04.04.05_G. I think I need to wipe this baseband and try an earlier one but I can't seem to get it to stick, any ideas?
