PROBLEM:Bootloader downgrade on out of the Box 1.1.2
Hi IPhone-Friends,
it tried today to downgrade the Bootloader of 1.1.2 OTB Iphone.
I did it it exactly like described here:
http://iphone.unlock.no/bootloader_downgrade.htm
My Question or Problem is the Output of bbupdater -v after running ienew and iunew from GeoHot.
I get the follwing output after Testpoint 55 works:
This is just the End of the Output!
....
Downloaded: 1F600
Downloaded: 1F700
Downloaded: 1F800
Downloaded: 1F900
Downloaded: 1FA00
Downloaded: 1FB00
Downloaded: 1FC00
Downloaded: 1FD00
Downloaded: 1FE00
Downloaded: 1FF00
Attempting to read[1]...44
run bbupdater -v and pray
if it worked, enjoy your unlocked iPhone!!!
This Process works fine and takes only about 2 Minutes.
Now, I run bbudater and the Output is:
# bbupdater -v
Resetting target...
pinging the baseband...
baseband unresponsive to pinging
Done
-Why is the baseband unresponisve?
Should i now restart the IPhone to get the new bootloader?
Is everyhting fine or what else can i do?
Any Help appreciated..
thanks

I also was unable to get any output from bbupdater following the iunew run. A restore to 1.1.1 would also not work, but when I restored to 1.1.2, everything was okay.
-
Yep - otherwise i would not have the TESTPOINT WORKS output!
I just want to know, if everything is OK after my "iunew" and the bbupdater -v out is OK! So i can then restore to a Firmware (not 1.1.3) and then AnySim the IPhone? Or is the Output not OK?
What output do the other of you get as bbupdater -v output?
Thanks

I think TP was damaged.. Look at the address of the end, shouldnt be like that. Pls check NOR dump, also check program permissions

If iunew run through successfully it should be ok. Try to run these commands:
launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
And then bbupdater -v
If you havent' already, install Term-vt100 in installer.
I've also released an update to the Bootloader Downgrade package in installer, i don't think it really matters, but you could try to update it, and then run iunew again (testpoint again).

Look at my post here.
Go about halfway down and take a look at the pictures, I have the exact same output after running iunew and everything is just fine after a restore. I was able to jailbreak and unlock via anySIM 1.2.1u.

Hi GeeZuZz,
thanks for the Update. A nice Web-Site you`re running - very helpful!!!
What did you change in the new Release of the Bootloader DG Package?
Here`s my short update for your Website bootloader_downgrade Guide:
I was only able to do a successfull restore to 1.1.2 after doing iunew!
Then DFU_Mode - Downgrade 1.1.1 -> Jailbreak -> I checked Bootloader Version
with BBInfo-Tool and yes it NOW 3.9!!!!
Then Oktoprep -> UPGRADE to 1.1.2 -> Jailbreak.jar -> Install BSD-Subsystem and Anysin 1.2.1u.
Flightmode -> run Anysim-> and voila a Simlockfree Iphone from WEEk 46 !!!!!
Thanks for all the Genius People, GeoHot, TA_Mobile and IMTH.

I replaced the nor with a different one, but I don't think that made any difference, since geohot says it can be from any dump from a 3.9 phone.
So you can confirm that the instructions in my tutorial did work, it was just bbupdater -v at the end that did not work? And you did not update the bootloader downgrade package? (like i mentioned above)
Thanks for your feedback!
