Question [Probably 98% Fake] iphone brazil unlocked otb v.1.1.2?

User guoliva from iphone brazil said that he unlocked otb v.1.1.2

    Translation from Google

“First thing eh put the iPhone in DFU mode:
It connected and recognized by iTunes, pressing the key power and home together for ten seconds on the clock and then just drop the key power and maintain the key precionada home by ten seconds in the clock!

The iTunes must recognize iPhone in the way of recovery and the unit should remain with the black screen, if you ca screen of iTunes and cable connection, or the yellow triangle vc did wrong!

Then choose the firmware 1.0.2 and let him work. It will make a mistake at the end! Not it!

Get AppInstaler the PC and run! It will give mistake at the end, do not matter!

Now turn the OneClickJailbreak eh that the PACAY

Try run iBricker and see if it jah reconece the iPhone as unlocked, senao leave Ibricker i work … Follow steps!
Turn again AppInstaler, now must play without mistakes!
Turn the pacay navamente, must play without mistakes!
Rep [ita these processes several times until the PACAY run and APPinstaler tbm without mistakes!

Vc will get to the jailbreak!

If not possible to achieve the knife zuar its iPhone the maximum pssivel and restore knife again!

    Repeat steps ate give Jailbreak”

Do you think it can work?

Okay, here's the correct translation (by myself) to that text:

"The first thing you have to do is put your iPhone into DFU mode. Then choose the 1.0.2 firmware and restore it. An error will occur. Ignore it. Install AppInstaller on your PC and execute it. An error will occur. Ignore it. Now run OneClickJailbreak, which is PACAY and try to run iBricker and see if it recognizes your iPhone as unlocked. If not, let iBricker do its work. You will be able to jailbreak it. If you can't, do as much as possible to "mess" with you iPhone and then restore it again."

And here's some more comments from him:

"Yesterday I tried using a TIM SIM (which is a carrier here in Brazil) and it worked perfectly. I called Brazil to tell the news. My roaming was on AT&T. Then, this afternoon, I rebooted the iPhone and it got locked again."

My guess is: His explanation doesn't make any sense at all.

If any Brazilian fellows want to check it out, go to http://superativos.wordpress.com/200...-via-software/

In the iPhone Brasil Forum, he explains that he basically f*cked his iPhone up as much as possible (by virginizing it, downgrading, running bbupdater, etc) and he got a "temporary" unlock (after he rebooted it, it got locked again).

I think he is full of sh*t, but... oh well.

    Apple
    sucks.
    Microsoft rules.

    TurboSIM-like methods? No way.

    - Unlocked Week 47 1.1.3 iPhone, baseband 04.04.05_G.
    - Bought in Minneapolis, MN;
    - Currently on TIM carrier.

I'm not here to find help. I'm here to help others and give back what I've learned from Hackint0sh.

Anyway, taking a look through the pages in the iPhone Brasil Forum, I can pretty much say to all of you it was either a pure strike of luck from the guy or a complete BS!
But talking numbers, I'd say it's 98% BS.

    @Cortx7:

I'm from Brazil too and constantly read that forum (iphonebrasil). What I've to say: pure lucky method! hehehe

He can't remember how get unlock the 1.1.2otb and probabily won't... If it's true I can't answer that but he said that "unlock" was temporaly like you've just said above.

    Not great news I think.

    Greetings from Sao Paulo.

Apparently the GREEKS have devised a method where they virginised the phone through a secret BACK DOOR but appartently its quite messy and not for everyone. Personally I think its a load of shit but I would definately give it a go

I'm from Brazil and this is complete BS from guys who don't even know what a baseband/bootloader is... there is no way you can mess with the baseband of 4.6-bootloader phones without a proper secpack... so it's IMPOSSIBLE...

You can jailbreak 5 bilions times, update and restore as many times as you want, and it won't do anything (no basebasd upgrade will ever be done, even by itunes, as it would already have the new 04.02 baseband and itunes doesn't downgrade the baseband).

    So this is just IMPOSSIBLE...
