When Jailbreaking 1.1.2, WINDOWS.BAT doesnt work...

i already asked this question on a different thread, but who knows who is actually looking at that specific thread? since the title here says it all, im hoping to get some help

I do have the latest version of JAVA installed, b.c i know everyone is gonna tell to install JAVA...when i click windows.bat, the black window pops up for half a second and then disappears...i tried it on my wife's laptop as well, and same thing happened (she didnt have JAVA, but i installed it on hers..)

my phone was originally an OTB 1.1.2, but i've been downgrading to 1.1.1 and back to 1,1.2 several times....i've been doing it for 4-5 hours, im starting to lose it

pls someone help me

Did you click SHIFT and UPDATE instead of restore? (to 1.1.2)

i clicked shift + update, like the tutorial says and I updated it with 1.1.2

Tried jailbreak.jar?

windows vista ?? or winxp that you are using ?

when i open jailbreak.rar i get a million other options....where do i go from there?
there must be an easier jailbreak... i jailbroke 1.0.2, 1.1.1, and they were cake

There's a file in the folder called jailbreak.jar (it's meant for Mac, but worked on Vista for me)

If you are stressed out, sleep on it, and wake up tomorrow and start from scratch (following a guide from iClarified)

i think you might have to restart from the beginning and install oktoprep yourself so time jailbreak.com doesn't do it automatically. do this before you update to 1.1.2

I GOT IT....it wasnt working b/c i was running windows.bat from the RAR folder

once i extracted the whole folder to my desktop, it worked
