unlocked&jailbroken 2g upgrade 2.0 to 3.0

Hi I have a 1st gen iphone that is unlocked and jaibroken using 2.0 . I use tmobile and have the $5.99 data plan. I would like to upgrade to 3.0 or higher. I have a imac g4 version 10.4.11 computer. I have itunes 9 on the computer. I bought the iphone unlocked and jailbroken with 1.1.4 then had it upgraded to 2.0. Have cydia on my iphone. Any one have any step by step way of upgrading. Don't want to lose my unlock and jailbrake and have a brick. Thanks .

You can't lose your unlock or your jailbreak.

You unlock on 2.0 is permanent and you can always re-jailbreak your iPhone.

Backup your iPhone first then use this guide to upgrade. In the section where it talks about bootneuter you should not tick "click Neuter bootloader" This will make for a safer and faster upgrade.

You will probably need to install a new ipcc to configure your data plan and other t-mobile settings. There are guides for this on hackintosh.
