I used the following process to unlock my 1.1.1 phone

It uses the touchfree program, but leaves loads of directorys and files on the iphone.
Can these be removed?
Look in private/var/root/touchfree

I backed mine up and renamed it, the phone fails to boot .
Just get a apple logo, lucky wifi and SSH still loaded and i managed to bring it back.
So surely everyone else has the same folder and problem. What is this touchfree folder and contains...

That might be why you canīt boot it after removing the folder.
If this really is meant t be, I'm not sure of.
It seems for example my rSBTbt is unable to arrange the icons on my summerboard screen 2. I think thats because htere exists two springboard settings on different places on the Iphone now.
Maybe the touchfree really is supposed to have cleaned itself out after the process was finished. I donīt know.

The new "alpha" release gives you the option to install OpenSSH rather than the usual dropbear, so this is why I used the new 0.6 touchfree app.
What is left in /var/root/touchfree/ is the installer.app, SMBprefs.app, Summerboard.framework, some unix commands, the original springboard.plist and the new springboard.plist, which points to the summerboard.framework folder.
So, if you wanted to clean things up, you could probably uninstall summerboard, the installer, remove the ".orig" from the springboard.plist. But, I'm not sure where the original springboard.plist would need to go and if it's even needed anyway.
All the other stuff you could probably just ".back" and remove later on.
Maybe someone else can fill in the blanks?
