The Source for the Unlocking Cat and Mouse games

We can only blame ourselves for financially supporting such a ridiculous product that has 3 levels of security[activate, sim specific orientation, network lock]. This is like trying to have sex with 3 body condoms on[ reminds of the scene from Naked Gun 2 and 1/2]. Had the hacking community just waited a few months and ignored the product, the sales of iphones would have flopped royally forcing Apple to surrender their codes and we would now see factory unlocked units being offered along with nice price cuts from the apple store. I'm glad i got rid of mine and feel bad for all those thousands waiting to unlock their 1.x.x.
To summarize, Friends don't let friends buy iphones.

Will you pay Apple $1500 for an unlocked iPhone? If no, STFU; if yes, STFU too, cuz I ain't gonna pay.

Even if there was a boycott in buying iPhones, nothing would change. Apple has a binding contract with AT&T. The loss of millions of non-sold iPhones is nothing compared to the amount of money that should be exchanged in a cease of contract.

why are complaining guys?
a stealth sim isn't that expensive.we spend 400 bucks on a phone.whats 50 more?if there's a free method thats really nice, but 50-70 bucks for all this fuss.

And most of the guys that are putting effort on the unlock are doing it for a hobby or because they find it interesting!

Hardware solutions are never good solutions, man. You may have paid a low price on a StealthSIM or a TurboSIM, but you are mostly going to pay much more in the future to repair your phone. TurboSIM-like solutions can (and probably will) reduce your phone's lifetime. It may be even causing hardware damage right now. How? By simply draining more current than the circuit board was designed for. And this can damage all your semiconductor components a little bit each day. I'm not saying this will happen to your phone. I'm just saying to be careful before choosing these hardware methods.

wow, did you do a point to point circuit analysis to arrive at your ridiculous conclusion? Does the SM component act as a pure resistor?

By the time ANYONE sees any damage due to several micro amps of additional current due to the extra load of a surface mount chip, there will be 10 generations of iphones...

Well... have YOU done a point-to-point circuit analysis on the circuit to conclude that there will be 10 generations of iPhones before anyone sees any damage?

As an Electrical Engineer, I can tell you that no matter what the circuit is (or how much time it'll take to see some damage) it is never a good idea to put extra circuitry in a circuit design that took a lot of time to develop (specially on cutting edge technology).

And by the way. I didn't get to ANY conclusion whatsoever. I never said that hardware damage was going to happen.
