[Solution] International/local caller ID matching

Local number for mobiles: 9* *******
Local number for landlines: 2********
International format: +351 *********

after +351 you dial the number you want, being that a mobile or fixed number.

My phone keeps crashing on restart! I end up with endless reboot.

I replace the AppSupport file with the new one.

I also rename the new one from AppSupport-8..... to AppSupport.

What am I doing wrong?

You have to extract AppSuport from AppSupport-8.tar.gz using Winrar (if your a windows user) and replace the original with extracted file.

either way, the last 9 numbers seem to be the key, so would't we (for australia) need a file that does the matching based on teh last 9 numbers? not 8 or 7... otherwise, if you use the last 8 numbers, then it won't look at the area code and if you have two identical numbers from two diferent area codes, you could have a mismatch? I know the odds are remote but in the interests of doing the matching correctly?!?!?

When you receive a local voice call, the caller ID comes without area code, so the maximum number of digits you can use is 8. If you use 9, local calls won't work anymore, only mobiles will.

hi cynix... here, at least using a vodafone sim card, local calls come up WITH the area code... so I get 02 9123 4567 - so 10 digits...

that's why I am saying that a 9 digit hack is needed... so that you always pickup either the 2 (for Sydney) or 7 (for Brisbane) etc

and the same for mobile numbers...

0414 123 456 - means the hack is checking against 414 123 456...

in both cases, the 0 is the disregarded number...

which means whether you have numbers in your phonebook as (02) 9123 4567 or as +61 2 9123 4567, the hack will work correctly with the last nine numbers...

Oh well maybe I haven't got any local calls for too long I've forgotten what it's like :p

Took 5 minutes: Independece for Jailbreak, installing SSH, running the SFTP Client CyberDuck. Don´t forget to remove SSH to save battery life. Send back to jail. And indeed all recent calls now show their real name as well. :)
PS.: I took the file for 8 digits
