So many "Guides" for 1.1.1 but not for virgin 1.0.2

I'm just totally confused but all the guides are for 1.1.1. Most say for 1.0.2 is activate using Independence.

1. Opened up INdepedence1.3Beta.--> Activate/SIM tab -> Activate Phone
2. It asks for firmware which I used 1.0.2 1c28_restore
3. Error message " Failure, Error entering Recovery mode"

But If i get the iphone in Recovery mode, I can't do the above in Independence.

I know I must be doing something wrong but can't figure it out .

I'm an idiot and I managed to get my 1.0.2 to run on Claro, Peru with this guide!

I agree. Carlos did an excellent job with his guide for virgin 1.0.2 -
All the steps are still good EXCEPT for the unlock part. Do not use anything but anySIM 1.1 now (use anySIM-1.1.pxl now)

At the time he did his write up, anySIM 1.1 was not available. I have not looked at his guide in a while. May be he did update it to use anySIM 1.1 exclusively.
