SMS Time stamp not correct?

Has anyone noticed an error with the time stamps on sms messages.

If you send an sms to someone it will stamp the message with the correct time, however if you recieve a message from someone the time stamp is off, for me its off by 5 hours. i assume this becuase im in toronto and my time zone is set to -5gmt.

Has anyone else noticed a similar error perhaps off by whatever time zone your in, or it might just be -5 hours for everyone.

or is this a result of unlocking the phone?
