I have been checking up on anysim 1.1 and the posts stating that anysim increments the unlock counter each time, thus limiting the number of times we can unlock our phone. Other posts state that anysim does NOT increment the counter. For this issue, can anyone provide a definitive answer as to the truth behind the aforementioned claims? With all the speculation I have read about anysim, I am now wondering if OneSim also changes the unlock increment counter? The question I am trying to get at is: Can I unlock and relock my phone as many times as I wish without running down the counter? I used the anysim 1.1 program provided by jailbreakme.com The OneSim program in question is from i.unlock.no's repository. TIA
It is my understanding that AnySim 1.1. does not increment the unlock count. You're right, some say it does and some say it doesn't.
Check out this thread :
AnySIM v1.1 AT+XSIMSTATE=1 **RESULTS**
On page 3 they indicate that no matter how many times you run AnySim 1.1. PN remains at "1,0" so does not increment.
If I remember correctly the Elite Team released 1.1p (patched) which commented out a procedure that incremented the unlock count in AnySim 1.1. The thing is that even though the procedure existed in the AnySim code it was never being called in the DEV team's code, so therefore didn't need commenting out in the first place.
Like I said, that's how I remembered it to be at the time.
Hope this helps, just search the forum for more info.
Thanks rjshearman. Is there any info regarding what onesim does and if it increments the unlock counter?
