I live in the uk and have a uk iPhone hacked (running 1.1.2) and working with ANY o2 sim card.
Seeing as my phone has not been registered,will o2 (I'm sure they have the power to) in the near future block the imei number and even though paying £279 for the iphone I'm sure they still own the phone for 18 months?
Could anyone shed some light on this?
I heard that this would be done aswell, althought the muppet at carphone said that it will be blocked if you dont activate it in 7 days! (which is complete rubbish!)
But i guess they could blacklist in future as the agreement is when you buy it is that you will have to go home and activate it. if you dont your breaking the agreement and balls in their court!?

There is no agreement on the outside of the box and the contract to purchase the phone is concluded once the sale is made.

Yes but only works with 02 contact or pay as you go sim. I borrowed an o2 sim for a day and had no problems. Just ordered the £15 deal with £7.50 web (and a backup pay and go sim) which should have arrived yesterday but not here yet.
