Is this new software unlock breakable with future updates?

Hi guys

Just successfully used Geohots unlocking method for 1.1.3. Is this method a permenant thing now or can Apple relock in future?

I think if Apple do not update the Bootloader with future Updates, the unlocking method will be permanent.

You will have a problem if you buy a Phone with a new BL.

Mine was a 1.1.2 OTB from O2

I am using the proper contract but its nice to have an unlocked phone incase I need to use another sim card in an emergency or sommet.

So, when I ran this unlocking thing Geohots did it downgrade the bootloader to 3.9 from 4.6? Or just the modem firmware?

It doesnt downgrade the bootloader

Just the Modem FW to 1.1.2

Its pretty cool that we can now unlock both bootloaders.
