iTunes cannot update to 1.1.1 - stuck with 300MB

ok trying not to freak out :eek:

OTB iphone 1.0.2
followed the iNdependence guide and got to the part where i need to open itunes and update to 1.1.1

iTunes says that "The iphone software update server could not be contacted. Make sure your network settings are correct..."

The laptop is connected to the network (i can browse sites) so what's the matter?

Could someone post a link to the 1.1.1 firmware so that i can manually download it and use the option-key method to point iTunes to the file?

Also this laptop has been used to restore a 1.1.1 phone so there must be somewhere where the firmware is stored, but I don't know anything about macs so if someone could help me find it, that would be very nice.

it seems to be ok now.

I restarted iTunes for the second time and it asked me if I want to update my iphone to 1.1.1 so its doing it now

let's hope it all ends well.

Stuck in the same conditions, activated and jailbroken on 1.0.2, when I need to update to 1.1.1 itunes tells me that servers are down...please someone post the 1.1.1 firmware download.
