restart ur Computer to solve that 1604
Didn't work. I tried it on 3 different Mac's, two XP-systems...also different USB-Ports but the device is not hot.
iBrickr or independence can not get it out of recovery. Any ideas?
It seams that there is a timeout at 'preparing the iPhone' in iTunes. The device doesn't boot or anything which it should for getting restored, right?
try to put it on DFU mode then restore
Try to put iPhone in DFU mode and then restore it.
You can try these steps below:
1. Try another USB cord.
2. Restart your computer for a try.
3. Hold the power button, it might restart your iPhone.
4. Update your iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPhone.
If iTunes can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help > run diagnostics.
On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPhone and then restore it.
What is DFU mode? The only thing I can think of that fits that acronym is probably not what it stands for! I read that using a different USB would solve several different issues with the phones.
DFU stands for Device Firmware Update. That is the mode that allows you to upgrade or update your firmware (obviously). You get there on most devices by powering off, connecting to PC, then holding power and home for 10 seconds.
