The iphone.unlock.no method
I have received an iPhone as a prize, totally by accident. Lucky, eh?
It's a week 44 one, with 1.1.1 firmware. I've been wandering around the net for a while and my conclusion is that the cleanest, easiest way to unlock this phone and make it work with a SIM card in a country where it has not yet been officially released is the one published at iphone.unlock.no.
Still, I'm not entirely convinced that that is the best way to do it because people still seem to be talking about and following some other, 38 step methods which involve iTunes, copying files over SSH etc. Some even tell me to upgrade to 1.1.2 and then downgrade back to 1.1.1 (?!). But unless someone screams here I'm gonna go with the unlock.no one anyway.
My only question (so far) is at which point do I exactly replace the AT&T SIM card with the one I am gonna use? After I've installed and ran AnySIM, ie at the end... or at the very beginning of the whole process?
