Iphone restore modem firmware

Hi!

OK here's the deal.

A few days ago i bought a iphone from a guy. He told me that everything was working fine BUT No Wifi / No Sound / No Phonecalls. Well i thought it was a wrong update or so. I really dont know how he tried to unlock the phone. Maybe hw or sw. He couldn't tell me because also bought this phone from another guy.. :cool:

This is what i figured out so far:

There is No Wifi / No IMEI / No Sound.
I dial *3001#12345#* but there is no modem firmware. I already searched on this forum and the net and i tried the bbupdater guide but no good so far. With the bbupdater i'll get this error:

it retry's 9 more times before outputting

When i try to ping the baseband it says no responding.

Downgrade the iphone to a lower version then 1.02 didn't work

So what do you guys think...is my iphone a little bit fuck"ed up or is there any hope left for him before i throw him in the garbage can ?

start by putting on uictrl app with ibricker and try to load the commcenter then follow the downgrade guide to reflash the baseband to virgin, by using the secpack file.

you should be able to get the phone working using ibricker to load files and using mobile terminal to issue commands

otherwise try updating to 1.1.1 then follow the downgrade guide

First, download the iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.ipsw from Apple. Then connect phone to dock, and hold down home button and power button for about 10 seconds until phone turns off. Now release the power button but continue holding the home button. After about 10 seconds the computer will detect the iphone in restore mode, and itunes should tell that the phone needs to be restored. Hold down SHIFT key (Windows) or ALT-key (Mac) when clicking the Restore button, and select the file you downloaded previously. Let the restore complete and ignore the error at the end. Now your phone should show a rectangle, but don't worry about it. Run AppTap to jailbreak your phone - it will fix it even though you get errors.

then downgrade the modem firmware (Search forum) and unlock
