I upgraded to v2....is there any hope?
I am new, so forgive me if I am posting in the wrong place, or asking redundant questions.
I bought a 16G iphone in Singapore. Everything has worked just fine. And then, in a moment of nerosis, when i had yet to have my first cup of coffee, i plugged my iphone in to update my calender and there was the upgrade alert. and i pressed upgrade......
and now, my iphone had been rendered useless. it is asking for a SIM car for activation, which clearly there is not ATT in singapore. all it shows is the cable, itunes, and slide for emergency.
i started searching the internet about unlocking and revirginizing because i wanted to undo the upgrade. But i dont want to do something and make this worse, as if that is possible. even from your tutorial, it refers to a website: www.iphone.unlock.no that says at the top
"The new iPhone and the 2.0 firmware has now been officially released. Since there's no way to unlock/activate it yet, do not upgrade until a solution for unlocking and activating this firmware is available."
so my questions:
1. Is it possible to unlock and/or revirginize a v2 iPhone from its current state?
2. if so, which of the above is the best option
3. and HOW would i do this??
I am such a mess!
thank you for any help or advice.....
btw: I have a Mac computer, using Leopard and iTunes v7.7(43)
