How to software unlock 1.1.2 ? Yes I [haven't] really searched!

Hey,
Just wondering. I got a new iPhone today. I have unlocked a 1.1.1 iphone recently with no problems. The one I got today is 1.1.2. It is stated in one of the sticky threads that it is currently unlockable, but you can downgrade it to 1.1.1, then upgrade again etc... My question is, if I use this thread http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18284 , and skip the part with the upgrading to 1.1.2, will I have a Sim Unlocked iPhone? I dont care if it is 1.1.1, but I NEED it sim unlocked. Basically, I just want an unlocked iPhone that I can use with any gsm carrier, regardless of the firmware. Thanks in advance, and I apologize about the dumb question.

nope if have searched you would clearly find that it would not be unlocked.. it will be jailbroken but not unlocked... so tough life ..

Are you sure you searched?
If this was possible, then you bet that everyone now would already know,
and it woudnt have a bunch of repetitive stupid threads like this.

Also if you have really used the powerful search functions or looked at the sticky threads you would have found that your only hope is using a SIM pigback card like TuborSIM or StealthSIM. :D

Good luck finding a TurboSIM!

You own a 4.06 bootloader my friend that is why you can't unlock by software (for now).

Yeah and was funny you didn't mind to be on 1.1.1 just an unlocked iphone, then why are there lot of people waiting to get an unlock for the OTB 1.1.2 ;)

I got 5 phones here waiting to Apple releases 1.1.3 with a new baseband of course :D

Come on Apple it doesn't matter as there's no iPhone operator in Spain yet ;)

Bring the update or bring the iPhone to Telefonica.
