I was able to do it with iBrickr 0.91 in 1.02 but not in 1.1.2. Even it said uploaded but the ring tone did not change at all.. thanks

Download the Send Song application via Installer app. Then run the send song app and choose the song and click send to ringtones. (I'm assuming you have installer app)
I thought you do it in iTunes (7.5) by saving ringtone as m4r file.
