Here is Help for all those people only seeing an Apple Icon when trying ZiPhone
This is a tutorial on what to do if when you try to use Ziphone on your 1.1.3 otb you just end up seeing an apple icon or it stays at the connect to itunes screen.
Please Note :- THIS IS ONLY FOR JAILBREAKING AND ACTIVATING (NOT UNLOCKING)
A 1.1.3 OTB OR 1.1.3 RESTORED VIA ITUNES IPHONE
Im not sure yet which route to unlock with, I might do GeoHots unlock via installer.
Make sure that after you have done this tutorial that you install BSD Subsystem and OpenSSH via installer on your Iphone.
Here Goes
You will need your Iphone to be freshly restored to 1.1.3 via Itunes restore (search for how to do this its all over the place)
Download Ziphone 1.0 from here It works best with this version for some reason.
Unzip ZiPhone 1.0 to desktop making sure all the files are in the ZiPhone Folder on the desktop. Then delete the zip folder so that there is nothing else called ZiPhone on the desktop.
Connect iphone to itunes so it recognises it
Disconnect itunes (leave iphone on with cable attached)
Open a command Window by typing cmd in run under windows start menu, or if your in vista start button then type command in the search box at the bottom to find the command program
In the command window type
cd desktop
press enter
cd ZiPhone (case sensitive)
press enter
ziphone -a -j (case sensitive)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Command window will then tell you to power off iphone and switch on etc
What you do is this, Leave the command window open with that message on it.
With cable still attached Switch off Iphone holding down sleep button and swiping power with your finger.
Then when iphone is fully powered down disconnect the cable from the iphone.
Then with Iphone power off hold your finger down on the Iphone home button (round one at bottom) and keeping it held in insert Dock cable into Iphone,
DO NOT LET GO OF HOME BUTTON UNTIL CONNECT TO ITUNES SYMBOL SHOWS ON IPHONE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now the command window should show that ZiPhone has detected Iphone automatically, and started to work, it will show a message saying wait 45 seconds.
Your Iphone will remain on the connect to itunes symbol for more like 3 or 4 mins, Be patient, it will work, (not quite sure where the 45 seconds came into it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Iphone will restart and then show slide to unlock screen, to which the other side of that screen is your nice, Jailbroken and activated 1.1.3 Iphone Home screen.
Unlock However you feel Comfortable.:D :D :D :D
UPDATE
For the unlock I used exactly the same connection methods as in this tutorial the only thing that is different is what you type in the command line.
As follows
cd desktop
press enter
cd ZiPhone (case sensitive)
press enter
ziphone -u (case sensitive)
press enter
Then from there everthing is the same again, i.e message to turn off phone etc and reconnect, MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW EXACT CONNECT PROCEEDURE AS ABOVE TUTORIAL.
This shows to wait 2.30 (2 and a half mins)
Its actually more like 5 mins, the iphone screen will stay on connect to itunes screen until it reboots,
Now fully unlocked and jailbroken and activated etc.........
Many massive thanks to the Geniuses behind these methods, Zibree, well done man, Geo too and anyone else involved.
I only wrote the tutorial after having tried and failed so many times at trying to do this.
