[SOLVED] Help me fixing one iPhone!

Hello, this is my first post but I was reading this forum for about a week when I started trying to fix a friend's iphone.

History

It was bricked, no wifi, no imei, no nothing. I managed to get all back with firmware 1.1.1 except IMEI (0049xxx). Then I did an stupid mistake to put 1.1.4, it tooked, IMEI remained the same though, but now I can't downgrade to 1.1.1 without error 1011 even if I erase baseband before trying, and if I stay with 1.1.1 and try to go to 1.0.2 iTunes gives me unknown error 4. I'm using iTunes 7.5.020 and Windows XP. If I go back to 1.1.4 it completes without errors.

Tools I'm using:

ZiPhone 3.0
iLiberty+ 1.3 (something)
KiPhone

I'm trying to go back to 1.0.2 to try the anysim 1.0.2 trick to get back the correct IMEI.

Perhaps I should downgrade baseband before downgrade to 1.1.1, huh?! But doesn't seem logic as I'm erasing it and still gives errors..

when you say that the everything besides IMEI came back on 1.1.1, that is still not fixing it.

I've read the thread but I can't downgrade it to 1.0.2 because of error 4. And when I try to downgrade from 1.1.4 to 1.1.1 I get error 1011. What should I do?

As long as the baseband was downgraded, it really should not matter if you got an error at the end of the restore process.

Look at the logs from the restore to see what happened and what caused the error.

Try and use iLiberty or inDependance to activate the iPhone so you can see what baseband you end up with.

I will have to check with him, I'm doing this via teamviewer, but he isn't online right now. What about error 4 when trying to downgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2? What could it be?

Without access to the restore log I can't say. On a mac these are located at ~/Library/Logs/iPhone Updater Logs/

Olethros, I appreciate your help with my problem, I'm a first timer, never unlocked one iPhone and this friend asked me for help. I will get you the logs!

Please help me clarify one thing: I have 1.1.4 with baseband 04.04.05_G working (kind of). In order to downgrade to 1.1.1 do I need erase or downgrade baseband? Because that could be my mistake and it gives me code 1011. From what I understood 1015 is better than 1011, because, again, from what I understood 1011 is related to baseband.

I'm trying to attach iPhoneUpdater log as requested, error code 4 when trying to go from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2, but it says upload failed, I've zipped it and it has 3kb, what I'm doing wrong?
