hi guys
my friend accidentally upgraded from 1.1.4 to 2.1 he asked me if I could downgrade it. Am I right if I just restore the iPhone with 1.1.4 and then active-jailbreak-unlock it with iliberty+? or won't this work? besides: I'm using itunes 8.0.

the point is, that when I am in DFU-mode it says I can restore but after a while error 1604 pops up and I am back in Recovery mode. plz help
the other problem is, that if I try it on my iMac g4 I get the error 1403. If I would be able to kick it out of recovery mode(how?) would it be possible to unlock it with pwnage? or do I need a fully unlocked 1.x.x iphone before I can unlock with pwnage?

to kick it out of recovery use iliberty or any similar program to kick it out.
after youve done that youd want to downgrade your baseband with kiphone.
should be a more detailed guide around the internet somewhere.
its way too late and im way too lazy to go find it for you atm.
Also, don't be afraid of search: [FW 2.x](2G&3G) DFU and recovery mode (getting in and out of)
is downgrading from 2.1 to 1.1.4 100% safe? i am thinking about downgrading and i want my iphone to be 100% functional (wifi, making and accepting calls, ...etc) also i heard that i have to install an older itunes version how can i backup my lbrary? and how can i backup my iphone contacts? itunes or manual backup?
