Help on activating 1.1.2 OTB phone

Hi,
I was following the guide to activating 1.1.2 phone. I did the downgrade to 1.1.1. Everything was going fine till the step on accessing http://jailbreakme.com AppSnapp application.

I clicked on the AppSnapp install link. Almost immediately, it brought me to the "Activate iPhone" screen with the "slide for emergency".

I never have the slide to unlock animation freeze and the iPhone rebooting status. I repeated the install AppSnapp a few times and each time the same result. The iPhone will just remains in the "Activate iPhone" screen.

Is there anything that I have missed out? Thanks.

I am delighted to be able to assist you in this matter!

Those who are too lazy to search the forum, need to be taken by the hand and shown the light. Rather than flaming you for this laziness in this instance I'll point you to the necessary information.

Actually come to think of it it is the very first post here in the unlocking section just at the top of the page! The mods made it into a Sticky so that needless post won't clutter up the forum.

Thanks for your response. I have read the sticky posts prior to my query.
I have asked about activating and not unlocking of iPhone.
I understand the difference between activating and unlocking.

It explains in that post that 1.1.2 OOB can't be unlocked, but only activated.

Downgrade to 1.1.1 FW and then jailbreak. Loads of tutorials that explains this process!

I did the downgrade to 1.1.1 FW and hit issue on the jailbreak.

Most tutorial guides I read indicated that installing AppSnapp and getting it jailbreak is a straightforward process. I must be the odd one out - hence my post for help.

I will stop my posting and response here - since I have been pointed out that this is not the right forum. Will post it underneath a 1.1.2 guide posting.
