There is a way to hardware unlock your iPhone OOTB 1.1.2 with 4.6Quote:

That was for a previous bootloader.
For the new bootloader you would have to remove the baseband chip, flash it with a hacked baseband(just some lines) and resolder it!
The equipment for this process cost around 1000-3000 dollars(depending where you live and if used/new)
Now if you also have the experience to do such a thing, go for it and tell us how it went! :o
Just get a turbo sim! No need to solder at all
