[Guide] BL 3.9 - 1.1.3 Downgrade

A friend of mine upgraded their iPhone BL 3.9 to version 1.1.3 and I could downgrade that to version 1.1.1 successfully. I did the following steps:

- With iTunes opened (I've been using the PC version 7.5) press Home and Power buttons AT THE SAME TIME for exactly 10 seconds, after that, release the power button and wait few seconds. iTunes will detect your phone in restore mode. Press SHIFT and press RESTORE button at iTunes screen. Select the 1.1.1 ipsw (you could find that at http://iphone.unlock.no). The downgrade process will finish with error 1015. Run AppTap Installer to put the phone in the normal mode or use iphoneinterface for that (issue setenv auto-boot true , saveenv and fsboot commands to do that).

- Jailbreak the iPhone at 1.1.1 version using AppSnap, Carnaval or any other method (Google for that if you don't know how to do)

- Install MobileTerminal-vt100 and BSD Subsystem with Installer.

- I've put a BB downgrade package at hxxp://www.m***upload.com/?d=2NZH8NI6 (thanks for guys who posted the new secpack 1.1.3 !!! You're great !!!! Without that the package is useless).

Download that and send all files to iPhone (you could use SSH/WinSCP or iBrickr).

- Open the terminal, change to directory where you've put the whole BB Downgrade package and issue the following commands:

sh 1.sh
./ieraser
sh 2.sh

After that, repeat the full restore of 1.1.1 version, Jailbreak and activate the iPhone (using AppSnap, Carnaval or any other method you'd know), run AnySIM 1.1.1 (add http://i.unlock.no at installer's sources) and enjoy your iPhone !!!

These steps have worked fine with me.

How did your friend upgrade the firmware to 1.1.3, but the BL still at 3.9? I read all over the web, they all say after upgrade to 1.1.3 firmware the BL will up to 4.6 also. Would tell me how to do it. Thank you

CVLo: Funny how you mention to use i.unlock.no installer source for AnySIM - didn't you notice that it already contains a "Baseband downgrader" package? Installing that package will downgrade the baseband fully automatic - no need to transfer files to phone, install a terminal/ssh or run commands. Just tap install and wait for 3-5 minutes and the baseband is downgraded. And yes, it supports 04.03.13 (3.9BL). :)

deedeedee: Bootloader is NOT upgraded during firmware updates, not even when baseband is updated. And there's an interesting bug when updating to 1.1.3 - phone will boot directly to springboard after upgrade and will be "activated" until you restart the phone. I tested to use one of these cheap turbosim clones, and it did NOT work btw.

my iphone is messed up. It does't have wifi, IMEI 004900xxx. I have tried to virginiz, fixed the seczone, all the instruction on the web the problem stay the same. I have heard that to upgrade it to 1.1.3. The 1.1.3 firmware would fix all the problem.

You can safely upgrade to 1.1.3 to try. Then downgrade back to 1.1.1 after and run Baseband Downgrader found in i.unlock.no repository (Unlocking tools category).

i have try more than 5 times to downgrade an iphone bl 3.9 with 1.1.3 firmware an always came with an error (1) , ANY IDEAS?:confused:

You need to use the iPhuc way, on a mac that will be hard, i had to install parallels on my intel machine, use iphuc, copy the WTF file and then i could downgrade

Try it to my iPhone 39 week with No WiFi, No Bluetooth, Wrong IMEI.
Before this iphone was updated to 1.1.3, think that it can helps to restore imei.

And do all the operations from 1st post - modem has downgraded, but no wifi, wrong imem, no bt again (

Any updates to this method? Im getting the (1) error as well. Im on windows, and have a accidental 1.1.3 upgrade. Phone is 3.9BL

somehow my iphone effin updated the bb to 04.03.13 and i didnt even upgrade to 1.1.3

soo does the i.unlock.no bbreload work for this or ??
