Firmware update for hardware unlocked iphone

I have a hardware unlocked iPhone with firmware version 1.0. I really want to upgrade to 1.1.1. my question is if i upgrade the firmware via itunes i know it will relock and brick my iphone..if i then use a 1.1.1. unlocking software to unbrick it will this affect the modifications done to the hardware originally?:confused:

dont update .. i did and the only thing i get is wifi bt and sound no phone at all wait for the revirginizer ...
you can updte to 1.0.2 free of pain and stiil working

anyone with hw unlock try that unofficial reverginizer method?
