Exchanged phone at att now they gave me a phone that has 1.1.2 and serial # 02

I went to att because i was having a issue with my phone. so they gave me a new phone but in the white boxes, which proubly is a refurb. but the serial number in the phone is 5k802, which means its week 02. so shouldnt it have 3.9BL??? when they gave me the phone i told them i wanted one with 1.1.2 on it and not 1.1.3. he said he wouldnt know till he opened the box. ok so it had firmware 1.1.2 on it but it has the 02 week.

Do you think this can be unlocked? i tried and its not working. how can i find out what bootloader it has?

I downgraded to 1.1.1. do i need to go to 1.0.2 and then 1.1.1 to unlock? ive unlocked a phone before but not sure if they gave me one with 4.6 on it.

it must be bootloader 4.06, because week 02 is in year 2008 ;)
you can find your bootloader with bbupdater -v

so you can only use the jailbreak guide to 1.1.2 and use * SIM Solution like Turbo Sim, Stealth Sim and so on..

Great, that sucks. but i wonder why it doesnt have 1.1.3 on it.

To be sure, you could always just downgrade to 1.1.1, jailbreak it and check using bbinfo from installer.

i looked on my installer dont see bbinfo. do i have to add a source? or does it have a different title?

i edited my post above. Add the source in that thread and install hardware info (was bbinfo). :)

Just type *3001#12345#* and you will see firware version
if it's 04.03.13, that's 1.1.3

I have one with 88804 too, but it's still sealed and I think I'll sell it if it's 1.1.3.
So what version was yours?
