Hey,
I recently upgraded from 1.1.1 to 1.1.3 with Ziphone. On 1.1.1 I could go into Settings > General > Network and set my EDGE settings to O2.
This option seems to have disappeared. I don't remember if I had to do anything to get it to appear on 1.1.1 - am I missing something?

same here. Restored to 1.1.3 jailbrak/unlock with ziphone 2.2. Its working fine, but i cannot access edge settings. Is therea fix ?

Apparently if you remove your network settings they may reappear, but I havent been able to achieve that.
Settings if you want to try clearing your network are under > Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Best of luck, and hope we can get to the bottom of this. I dont personally use edge, but Id like a bolt on to my contract if possible so I can browse the web at work etc.
I had the same issue, could be solved, if you are on a Mac. There are problems when doing this steps on a PC, don't know the way to deal with
I have a prepaid T_mobile card in Germany (no contract). The iPhone is using the carrier bundle from T-Mobile cause the phone can't see the difference. Cause the german contracts come with an EDGE package the disabled Edge Editing
Are you with an o2 card (non-contract) in the UK? Could be the same issue
I connected via SFTP to the iPhone and opend
/System/Library/Carrier Bundles/TMobile_Germany.bundle
Inside (same for O2_UK.bundle) you will find a file called carrier.plist. You can open it with the Mac Programm Property List Editor (part of the dev tools that come with the os)
Open the file (ctrl-click on it in your SFTP-Programm) and click on the small triangle in front of "Root". It will unfold. Now click on Root (so its activated) and then the Button "New Child" (appears only if "Root" is activated. Name the new created Child AllowEDGEEditing the class to choose Boolean and the value is true.
Save, close Property List Editor and SFTP programm, restart the iPhone and you will find the needed settings again.

that tarnslates the binary to a text-file. After that you can edit it, then just copy/replace back. The file is a binary but the iphone handels the converted one, as many useres in this forum state. We had to find a way for plist-files way before 1.1.3 for windows.
But as I said, I did not try it and duplicate the file on the iPhone before downloading the original to your PC, use the webserice above and put it back on your iPhone. Then restart and I keep my fingers crossed.

Yep, after a full day of searching I found that site too lol
In /System/library/carrier bundles/your bundle take out the carrier.plist, back it up, erase the one on the iphone.
Convert using the above website so you get an ASCII version thats readable by windows notepad.
Open the new carrier.plist, and right at the top of the file, add
<key >AllowEDGEEditing</key >
<true / >
without the spaces, right after the FIRST <dict > and before the <key > BookmarkURLs< /key>
I can now edit Edge settings as normal, getting the thing to connect on the other hand, is posing a problem.

The AllowEDGEEditing tricky doens't work anymore.
