hi..
i have unlocked iphone otb 1.1.3 with ziphone 3.0 mac version..
it is working absolutely fine, however when i use internet using edge.. battery seems to drain a lot quicker.. also the handset heats up a lot, close to the earpiece..
is this normal behaviour or somethinh which happens after unlock..
is there any fix for it..

heats up even if using the wifi. I think its normal. Somebody please advise. I unlocked with iplus.
I have a similar setup: 1.1.3 OTB unlocked with ZiPhone 2.2.
Can you post what your battery life is like? Not just browsing with edge but overall (how long standby/usage).
I did notice faster battery drain with edge and browsing but I wouldn't call that "a lot quicker": less than 2x
My battery life (full overnight charge to self shutdown):
Standby: 1 day 13 hours
Usage: 4 hours 3 minutes
That includes about 30 minutes with browser/edge, rest is 60% youtube 40% browser/wifi.
battery life drains when using ur iphone for other features then making calls. thats just life. when i sit on web based chat clients, my battery is literally dead in a few hours. its constantly trying to refresh for updated conversations. and its using your phones processor a lot more then it would if it was just in ur pocket.
using ur iphone, will drain the battery. learn to use it accordingly. or bring a charger around with u
