Did I Brick trying to go from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2?
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to fix what I think is now a bricked iPhone?
I have (had) an iPhone running on 1.1.1 for some time now. I believe that it was originally on 1.0.2 and then I upgraded to 1.1.1 last year. Tonight I tried to upgrade it to 1.1.2 using the method described on Unlock.no (http://iphone.unlock.no/#Bypass-Acti...-and-Jailbreak) in the 'Upgrading to 1.1.2' section. I got all the way to step 8 but the phone did not restart. iTunes then popped up and told me 'iTunes must check the iPhone software update server to identify this device'. I then clicked on 'check' and another window popped up with 'iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes'. I know that if I click restore it will load 1.1.3, so I did a 'Option - Restore' and restored to 1.1.2 again. Now I now have an iPhone which shows a cable with an arrow pointing to the iTunes logo.
Have I completely screwed this thing or is there a way to recover to 1.1.1? FYI, I tried to Restore to 1.1.1 but it failed (twice).
Any help or a push in the right direction is appreciated.
