Can't get the terminal to tell me bootloader version...???!!!


I have been folowing this method and when i type the last command, it tells me:

Resetting target...
Error: Failed to initialize comm layer: (is it open by another app?)
Done


Does anybody know where is the problem???
I just want to make sure my bootloader is 4.6;+), it is OTB 1.1.2 so i assumed that it is....

To Check bootloader version of out of box 1.1.2 phones , downgrade to 1.1.1 with itunes( try going to recovery mode pressing home button) jailbreak 1.1.1,activate,install 1-BSD Subsystem 2-OpenSSH from installer. Download WinSCP , connect to phones ipaddress, username:root , password:alpine paste this file (bbupdater) to a folder /usr/bin open command shell present in winscp inself, type following:
cd /usr/bin
chmod +x bbupdater
./bbupdater -v
in response if you get "BOOTLOADER_VERSION:4.6_M3S2"
then the bootloader version is 4.6 its the newer one,no unlock yet, wait for updates from dev team ... if its "3.9_M3S2" its the older one, can be unlocked...

if you have ota 1.1.2, then its 4.6BL

...trying restarting the PC/Mac and re-trying

its because you didnt unload the comm center

launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

and once your done dont forget to start it again :P
launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

have you made bbupdater excutable? this will cause it not to run. you also have to use capitol letters where there are capitals or it will not work.

Where do you input this command??????? :confused:

On the terminal or whereever you supplied the bbupdater command. Before executing the bbupdater command, run the launchtl ... comand at the same place.

Once your curiosity is satisfied, run the launchctl load ... at the same place.

if you use PuTTY, just copy the command line and right click on the terminal window to paste it. Note that if you copy the link break, it will also be pasted to the terminal automatically which means that the command will be executed immediately upon pasting.

Because i don't know where to unloaded and where to load it. Can i do this from Win SCP?

I try and it says that command is not valid.

And bbupdater is the same way i downloaded of **********. What am i supposed to add there? bbupdater.exe?
The application look same like all the other in the same directory Bin so i thought that is fine.

Ok , I don't know how i did it, but i quess i just restart it and it is fine.

Sucks....haha.
I have two more but it does not make sence to try find out....it is 4.6 for sure of 1.1.2 OTB.
