My iPhone was bricked during an upgrade to the new version of iTunes.
I tried to restore it by downgrading to an old iTunes, and using version 1.0.2 1C28.ipsw of the restore software. No use.
I am using the ATT Simm, so I now have no need to have this "Un-Locked" Is there anyway that I can restore this to a point, where I can use the ATT SIMM, with AT&T as the carrier?
I now have the YELLOW TRIANGLE (Please connect to iTunes) Logo on the screen.
How should I proceed?????
You already have 1.0.2 firmware.
If you are on Mac, download iNdependence, launch it and connect the phone, wait a little and it will boot...
If you are on PC, download ibrickr, launch it, connect the phone and select: Boot My Phone...
PS: New iTunes version 7.5 works fine, no need to downgrade.
I have followed your instructions, and when I ran ibrickr, and then boot, it gave me a GREEN screen, which means to run iTunes Restore.
Now when I load iTunes 7.3.0.54, and then start the iPhone, it NO longer states that the phone has to be resored, but says that the Iphone is damaged, and can not be connecxted to iTunes.
Any ideas now??? THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your assistance so far, I just need to get this going, either locked or unlocked, it doesn't matter since I am already on AT&T

1)First, have you tried restarting your pc? Sometimes its not the phone.
2)Have you tried restoring to 1.1.1 . Then downgrade back to 1.0.2 and use ibrickr?
3) Also, have tried to download a new version of restore files in case yours were corrupted ?
My problem is that I can not do any restore with the iTunes I have, as it immediately goes to the blank page that says that the iPhone is damaged, return it to Apple for repair.
How would I restore it back to 1.1.1 ??
When i turn on the iPhone, I am in the emergency screen, where I can NOT access any butons or settings, only make a 911 call.
When I use iBrickr, and then go to the post screen, I just get a green screen, which means you have to restore using itunes ?
well, 2 things you can try:
-run AppTapp (first time it gives an error, 2nd time should boot if 1st didn't)
-Maybe get the new iTunes version ? I can't think of much right now...
Ps: when you run ibrickr, do you get 2 options ? like: ''Boot the phone'' and ''Begin downgrade to 1.0.2'' Not exactly this message, but something alike ?

If I click on FILES, I go to the file manager.
From here what steps do I take to either virginize my iPhone back to the out-of-box state, or get it running????
When I do turn the phone on, I get the screen with the Globe, that states ACTIVATE THE IPHONE, connect to itunes
and in a small box in the middle of the screen, it says Incorrect Simm, insert an unlocked and valid simm.
The Simm in the iPhone is the original AT&T Simm
Intex1, you need to jailbreak and then activate your phone. Check the following link and scroll down to the place where you are now. I believe that your next step is uploading the ' lockdownd ' file. Once you do that then you would be done.
