Hi please let me know if there is any way I can use my current cingular sim car with the OTB 1.1.2 Iphone. I live in the US and have downgraded to 1.1.1 and jailbroken it but have not tried inserting my cingular sim card.

please read the stickie. In short, you can't yet. Only if you buy a TurboSim or a StealthSim, etc (100+bucks).
Damn I guess I should have waited, thanks, wonder when we will be able to unlock 1.1.2 :(
I disagree, I have a jailbroken 1.1.2 OTB and borrowed a friend of mine's
cingular sim. Worked with no problems. It is true I only made one call but
it went through. So unless ATT/Cingular blocks after they discover your using
a iPhone it should be okay.
Oh are you sure, because I am wondering whether to pop open that sim card tray and try this, I dont want to do anything to ruin the phone
you can if you have any at&t card... prolly cingular has the same carrier id so it should work..... and opening the tray is very very very very easy... no way you can ruin the phone by opening the sim tray...
i've tried both att and cingular sims and they both working perfectly. all other functions work great too
Cingular bought ATT and they are using the ATT name, so they really are the same company. It may be that the EDGE may not work but it should be able to make calls. Swapping out sims is trivial.
