Hey thanks man! i really appreciate it! i went to the apple store yesterday to see what was wrong and they didn't even know. but thanks!!! the only thing is, on the main scree, there is still the picture of the usb -> itunes. it works but thats just the background. i dont know if thats weird or strange or normal but yeah.

iTunes logo and usb acble is usually telling you that the iPhone is in recovery mode. I would just go ahead as described above.

my iphone is stuck in recovery mode. i tried doing a restore through DFU, but get an error message saying "The iPhone couldn't not be restored. AN unknown error occurred (1600)."

This is the instructions from dtube on how to enter DFU mode (from another thread:

- connect phone to computer
- shutdown itunes
- turn of phone
- hold power + home for 10 sec
- after 10 sec, release power/sleep and continue holding home
- when hearing the connection tone from the computer, let go of home
- itunes will detect the phone
- screen on phone is black
- shift-click restore with custom 2.0 fw

I Have an old 8GB iphone. Originaly I upgraded it to 1.1.4 and unlocked it by using [1.1.4][iLiberty+ for Windows] Unlock step-by-step for newbies.

Since then I have been using the iphone fine until today when I (wrongly) decided to upgrad it to the new version available in the latest itunes in my pc (I think is 3.1 and something, I'm not sure if it is 3.1.3, but it is the latest)

In this process, it says that the security copy of the contents in the iphone could not be done. I choose to continue and when the upgrade finished the iphone was blocked and asked me to activate with att.

The iphone is blocked now and it only lets slide the iphone for emergency and appears on the screen a usb to be conected to itunes.

Please help me to unlock the iphone and if it is possible to keep the last upgrade.
