my friend has given me his iphone to unlock and hes put a pincode on it.
he has also updated it to 1.1.4 so now cant get onto his sim ( i would guess).
When i plug it in, itunes says it cant access the iphone because it needs the pincode entered into the iphone, but all i can see on the iphone is the emergency screen.
ziphone comes up with error 11.
any ideas, oh i dont have his sim card. (no ive not stolen this phone)
the passcode the iphone is asking is not for the sim is for the phone, the easiest way to solve it is to ASK your friend his passcode.Quote:

ive got the passcode but the phone is already in the emergency mode because he upadated to 1.1.4 and doesnt know how to unlock it.
there is no way to put the passcode in from what i can see.

all sorted now :) after playing about with the power and home buttons it finally went into dfu mode, please delete post
