iphonepleasework- i have the same problem as you, where once i restart my phone i have to do the whole process again.
from all the tutorials ive read, they all seem to say you must upgrade to 1.1.2 afterwards, whereas i am still on 1.1.1. which firmware are you in? maybe upping it to 1.1.2 will solve this? i will try and let you know the outcome.

I am still trying to determine how to upgrade to 1.1.2 from 1.1.1 on a 1.1.3 OTB phone. Any ideas.
mikec, do you put all the files in usr/bin, or just bricktool? There is a C file as well as a makefile

I am also having a similar problem. I have ran the geounlock and that was successful. I have put in my sim card and its seeing the network but just does not want to ring out or receive calls or text messages. It also has even had full signal and still fails the call. I have ran the bricktool D. I am going to go insane with this lol.
Any ideas are very appreciated.

I tried the thing with bricktool, and it still does not work. The phone will vibrate and make the sound like it is going to work, but no tmobile
iphonepleasework i just upgraded to 1.1.2 and it has solved my issue of losing service upon restarting. so far i have restarted 3 times and am still working!

i followed it from where i was (which was upgrading to 1.1.2)
i followed all but in the last step, instead of running jailbreak.jar, i used windows.bat
it opened a command window, some numbers scrolled and i got an error, but i let it do its thing for a while, then it said rebooting phone.....i waited a bit longer, pressed my home button, and it showed i was on tmobile and it said slide to unlock.
the only problems i had, was having to reinstall a few programs, but it kept all music, videos, contacts, and when i reinstalled summerboard, all my previous ones where there as well.
i have a 1.1.2 oob, but so far so good for me. hopefully this will help you too.
Thanks fagtoast. So, were you originally on a 4.6 bootloader with 1.1.2 OOTB?
I just tried it and it WORKED PERFECTLY. I was able to turn off my phone and turn it back on and it picks up tmobile again.

i just opened youtube and it says it cant connect. however, my last search was there and when i clicked on a vid it opened and played.
then i figured it would still work so i attempted a search and again recieve a "cannot connect to youtube" error.
how is your youtube holding up? any thoughts on a solution?
